Mt. Hope Elementary School is located in Mt. Hope, Alabama. We are part of the Lawrence County School System. We proudly serve students in the grade levels of PreK through 6th grade.

Through the dedication and hard work of our students, teachers, faculty, parents, and community, Mt. Hope School became a Lighthouse School in December 2022. This is the highest honor given by Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence.

The teachers and faculty at Mt. Hope School strive to provide all students with a safe, loved, and engaging environment.

It is going to be a great school year! We look forward to working with all students and parents throughout the 2023-2024 school year!

                 MRS. CARRIE DOTY

I am married and have 3 kids, ages 14, 12, and 6. I enjoy spending time with family, going to church, and watching my kids play ball. Most of my Saturdays are spent at softball tournaments. Although my calling was not to become a teacher, I enjoy working at the school and being able to help our teachers and students. I love these kids! It is my hope that I can be a positive influence to the students and they know I love them.

A Special Thank You!

We would like to thank our School Resource Officer, Officer Doug, who serves our school. It makes us all feel a sense of comfort knowing we have an officer watching over our students and staff members.
